Dissonance?
That's okay...perhaps it comes from pride...a failing human spirit that feeds on psuedo-angst.
Esteem
We all feel better than the person next to us...sometimes worse...it just all depends on our "self-learned" perspective.
Life.
It's all about making the other person feel like shit. Of course, we strive to be the best...to gain status and title. This is achieved to do what? Feed the hungry? Make the hopeless feel more so? But whom would you define as hopeless?
No, I refuse to think that the new Benz or Jag in your garage defines motivation and status. Like I said, it's all about making the other person feel like shit. Perhaps it's another way of revenge...
Understanding.
Do you truly "understand"? If so, why do most of your sentences start with a sarcastic, "It is difficult," or "It is hard to believe"? Perhaps sarcasm is just another way of saying "I know nothing of what we are discussing, but I don't want you to know," or "I do not have the capacity or caliber to absorb the info you have taken the time to give me...so let me interject with something witty so as to embarrass you before you embarrass me."
Crazy
I notice the trend these fine days. A lot of people like to label themselves as "insane" or "crazy." (laugh) we all know it's just another way of self-adoration. Just as we like to label ourselves as "loners" and the "blacksheep" of the family. It's funny how, after we delude ourselves in thinking such a way, we seem to slip up on little comments like, "Wasn't Einstein a loner?" (laugh) Self adoration...you can always smell it a mile away.
